Frequently Asked Questions

What is the full process of creating a game trailer or marketing creative?

Creating a high-performing game trailer or marketing asset involves a carefully structured workflow designed to capture your game in its best light.

We begin with the concept phase, where we understand your goals, audience, platform needs, and the emotions you want to evoke. Based on this, we outline the creative direction and narrative flow.

Next is the capture or asset preparation stage. If we’re doing in-engine capture, we plan the full shot list, identify key gameplay moments, and record synchronised, cinematic footage using Unreal, Unity, or your proprietary tools. If you already have assets, we evaluate and organize them for editing.

In the edit phase, we craft the story: cutting gameplay, adding transitions, motion graphics, VFX, sound design, VO, subtitles, and music. You’ll review multiple versions and share feedback through structured rounds of iterations.

Finally, we polish and deliver platform-ready outputs: trailers, cutdowns, ads, thumbnails, captions, reels, or store assets optimized for every platform from Steam and YouTube to TikTok, Meta Ads, and Google UAC.

What should I expect during the proposal phase? How do we get started?

The proposal phase begins once you share your brief. We review your game build, existing footage, brand guidelines, and any references you have.

From there, we conduct an initial asset and build assessment to understand technical constraints, visual potential, and what’s realistically capturable.

We then present:

  • A clear creative direction (usually 2–3 concept options)
  • A tentative shot list or narrative approach
  • Timeline and milestones
  • Pricing and scope
  • Expected deliverables (trailers, cutdowns, ads, social posts, thumbnails, etc.)

Once you approve the concept, we share (or review your) Statement of Work, finalize contracts, and begin production, keeping you updated throughout with regular checkpoints.

What are asset or build assessments, and why are they important?

Through an asset assessment of your game’s build we get to know about your game's visuals, animations, environments, UI, and existing marketing materials.

This helps us determine:

  • What can be captured in-engine
  • What needs polishing or developer commands
  • What angles best showcase your mechanics or world
  • What visual limitations we must work around
  • Whether we need additional art, VFX, or camera tools to execute the concept

Assessment happen before pre-production, ensuring the creative approach aligns with what’s achievable. This saves time later and guarantees the final trailer hits the quality bar.

What is the difference between an Edit job and a Capture + Edit job?

Edit Only You provide recorded gameplay footage, cinematics, art assets, or older trailers. Our team focuses on:

  • Editing
  • Motion graphics
  • Transitions and VFX
  • Subtitles and sound design
  • Music/VO integration It’s a purely post-production service and is faster/cheaper.

Capture + Edit We handle everything, including:

  • Build/assessment
  • Shot list planning
  • In-engine gameplay capture
  • Camera routes
  • Slow-motion, freecam, or dev-command shots
  • Full edit + finishing

Capture requires more tools, time, and technical prep so it's a higher-tier service ideal for premium trailers, UA ads, or platform showcases.

What if I don’t know what kind of marketing content I need?

That’s completely okay, most studios come to us at this stage. Our producers and marketing specialists will:

  • Understand your goals (wishlists, installs, community growth, UA performance)
  • Study your game’s strengths and core loop.
  • Recommend the best content mix:
    1. Launch/reveal trailer
    2. 20s–30s cutdowns
    3. Static key arts
    4. Meta/TikTok ad variants
    5. Social reels
    6. Store assets (Steam capsules, screenshots)

We guide you through the most cost-effective strategy for your stage of development.

If I already have a concept, can you work with it?

Absolutely. If you have a script, storyboard, moodboard, or rough idea, we’ll refine it into a production-ready shot list.

We collaborate with your internal team or capture artists, ensuring the final output stays true to your creative vision while meeting platform and marketing requirements.

What do you mean by iterations and revisions?

Every project includes a set number of iteration rounds, depending on your package.

Typical workflow:

  1. Rough Cut → You give structured feedback
  2. Fine Cut → More detailed polish + music/VO/SFX
  3. Final Online/Edit → Color, titles, final VFX, export

If feedback requires major changes outside the agreed scope (new scenes, recaptures, new music, additional motion graphics, etc.), we discuss it transparently before proceeding.

What do you need from us to get started?

To start production smoothly, we need:

  • A short creative brief
  • Access to your game build or keys (Steam/TestFlight/APK, etc.)
  • Dev commands for camera/cheats if available
  • Logos, style guides, key art
  • Any existing footage or cinematics
  • Platform requirements (Steam, PlayStation, Meta Ads, TikTok, etc.)
  • Required aspect ratios and resolution guidelines

The clearer the input, the stronger and faster the output.

What formats or deliverables can you provide?

We deliver everything you need for marketing your game:

  • MP4/MOV in H.264, H.265, ProRes

  • 4K, 1440p, 1080p, or custom

  • 9:16, 1:1, 16:9, 4:5 variations

  • Platform kits:

    • Steam capsules, screenshots, banners

    • Google Play/App Store assets

    • YouTube thumbnails

    • Meta/TikTok ad variants

  • Social media packs:

    • Reels

    • Shorts

    • GIF loops

    • Still posts

    • Carousel designs

If a platform has special requirements, we adapt accordingly.

What happens if this is our first time working together?

For new clients, we start with:

  1. NDA signing
  2. Brand/IP onboarding
  3. Reviewing your build and materials
  4. Defining goals and deliverables
  5. Preparing a tailored concept and proposal

Once aligned, we begin capture or editing following the agreed roadmap.

Do you work on full campaigns or only single trailers?

We do both. We’re happy to collaborate on entire multi-asset campaigns, including:

  • Reveal + Gameplay + Launch trailers
  • Cutdowns
  • UA ad packages (10–20 variants)
  • Social content calendars
  • Store asset design
  • Live-ops updates

For campaigns, we offer:

  • Preferred retainers
  • Discounted bundles
  • Faster turnarounds
  • Shared creative strategy

Many clients choose campaign partnerships because they get consistency, speed, and better pricing.

Do you also produce static creatives and social media content?

Yes. Besides trailers and ads, we create:

  • Key visuals
  • Social media graphics
  • Store screenshots
  • Animated loops
  • Reels/Shorts/TikTok content
  • Meme-driven creative posts
  • Motion graphic teasers Perfect for building hype and keeping your community active.
Can you handle VO, custom music, or sound design?

Yes. We manage:

  • VO scripting, casting, recording
  • SFX creation or sourcing
  • Music licensing or bespoke composition
  • Full audio mix (stereo/5.1)

Audio is half the story, and we treat it that way.

Do you support Unity and Unreal Engine capture?

Yes. We specialize in in-engine capture using:

  • Unreal Sequencer
  • Unity Timeline
  • Freecam tools
  • Dev-commands, cheats, spectacle tools
  • Cinematic lighting setups

We’re able to record both cinematic and raw, natural gameplay depending on the trailer style.
